Passive InfraRed (PIR)
« on: September 29, 2016, 12:03:09 PM »
Hello everyone! Question: Can I connect PIR sensors (infrared detectors temperature changes) to the ends of the alligator clips? The idea is that when the PIR detect a change, transmit the electrical impulse to the Makey Makey. Any help you can give me is welcome.

Hey Goon Gumpas,

Hmm. . . I suppose you probably could!  You would have to make it open/close some kind of gate.  But if you're going through the trouble of wiring up PIR sensors, it might just be simpler to use a micro-processor like an Arduino or something.  Then connect that to your computer so it turns the PIR input into keyboard/mouse data.

Good luck!
