Hi all!

My name is Ken and I am starting to build a community of Hackcess members in Singapore revolving around innovative maker parents of kids with special needs (a broad range, some with MD).

I was looking around for videos of Hackcess projects and found only a handful. As such, I was wondering if any of you had videos you took that you would want to share here, and also, possibly videos of yourself giving words of encouragement (+ a cameo of your setup at work, if possible) to new parents & kids with disabilities starting on this journey of creating their own cheap, customisable & effective Assistive Technology solutions!

I will start documenting the Hackcess activities in Singapore myself and share them here as well! Let's get the ball rolling & Hack Away!! :D

Hope that helps!

Hey Liam!

Thanks for the videos and reaching out! Yup, Tom has shown me the videos you've linked and I have learnt lots from "Jedi Lucas"!

In sunny Singapore, we have started our monthly Hackcess SG meetups with kids with special needs who are mainly non-mobile and non-verbal (so using MM to create cheaper, more customised AAC solutions). We have started out with trying out the MM on tablets as most of the kids are familiar with them. I have also posed a challenge to the parents and kids to "Demystify the extremely high costs of the "Big Mac"".

Will post photos and videos as we go along!
