Hello from a very green IT teacher
« on: February 07, 2016, 08:25:23 PM »
I am in Western Australia and this year will be teaching Digital technologies. I'm extremely new to this but I love to give things a go.

As a longer term project for year 6 I would like to work with the Makey Makey.

I'm curious as to the computer specifics that are required? Can I utilize older style laptops that maybe available? Do they need a wifi connection?

Hey Dee!

Makey Makeys work on pretty much any computer, as long as that computer accepts USB input.  A Makey Makey reads as just a USB keyboard/mouse to a computer.

Some Windows 7 machines have issues with MMs when using a USB 3.0 port, but other than that it should work on a laptop!
