MIDI Triggering In Bitwig Studio With The MaKey MaKey
« on: June 05, 2015, 10:24:52 PM »
I created a Lab on my website on how to use the MaKey MaKey as MIDI triggering device for Bitwig Studio. The goal the Lab is to help others get a good understanding of the MaKey MaKey’s capabilities and to lay the foundations for building touch sensitive musical devices.

The instructions found in the Lab are geared towards the Bitwig Studio DAW, but the remapping process I cover can be easily modified for use in most other DAWs or any software you'd like to control, MIDI or otherwise.

The Lab can be found here:

This is great. I'm a newbie at rewriting the IDE, but I'm sure going to give it a try. I want to build a wind chime that will trigger tones via midi. When I get on my other machine, I'll post plans. The other thing that I'm thinking of doing is only going for mapping out an octave's-worth of keys, and then reserving the others for sending midi commands for changing octaves, sound patches, etc.

Thanks for the ideas!
