Makey Makey Wind Chimes

I built a set of wind chimes using my Makey Makey (arrived yesterday!). I used Max/MSP to convert the keyboard inputs to MIDI notes and used a simple synth to produce chime tones. I wrapped some cutlery in foil to make it more conductive; forks as key inputs, knives as the ground.
Electric Wind Chimes using Makey Makey (Arduino) and Max 6
Hopefully this will be the first of many inventions

Sounds wonderful! What a great idea - with a synth as the sound generator, you can map any instrument you want to it for a variety of interesting wind chimes. Very cool

I'm going to write an algorithm that will add some dynamics to the output so make it sound more realistic, and if I use a nice piano sound I reckon I can have it sounding pretty nice. I'll post my max patch when I've done more.

Matt,
I'll be excited to see the max patch especially if they incorporate it into their design.
(:
