Congratulations!  You certainly deserved it - look out Blue Man Group :)

So what was in the green bottle that had you grimacing?
Making stuff is awesome :)

This is awesome! Congrats on the performance CGenco.
Would you mind sharing some more details? I'm fairly new to this, just trying to figure out how you dealt with the Ground part. Did you have it attached to some part of your body?
thanks!

This was really awesome   :D Congratulations!
Let's build our own MaKey MaKey Skynet!
Or maybe having fun is good, too. :D

That's great! I just showed it to the entire Lifelong Kindergarten group (the MIT Media Lab research group that Jay and I are part of). I love the dramatic tension and buildup to the end. Congrats on the win!!

Hah, thank you! "Blue Man" was definitely the feel I was going for.

In the green bottle was some delicious http://www.listerine.com/.

Thank you! And I'd love to. I tried a whole bunch of things to get ground to reliably stay on my skin (including a bunch of different "bracelet" ideas like in the Makey Makey Kickstarter video), but I needed something I could attach/reattach easier than a bracelet. I tried aluminum foil wrapped around a limb, but it was sweaty and didn't stay on.

What ended up working really well was taking a glob of silly putty with a really long ground wire threaded through it and sticking it in the waistband of my shorts. Made it super easy to attach/detach for bringing the props on/off stage, and was super reliable.

THAT'S SO COOL AHH! Tell everyone there that they're awesome and that I thank them for this fantastic magical device. I've been a complete software guy up until this thing - it's now inspired me to get so much more into the hardware side of things.

Christian is now officially sponsored by JoyLabz as a "Pro Maker".

Also here is a shortened version of the longer performance that I edited for a talk I gave.

This is so awesome! I don't really understand how the MakeyMakey works. Did you have to use some sort of Arduino to do this? Did the Makey Makey activate the desired output because you were in contact with the conducting object (when you were eating it) and the current became grounded? I'm sorry, I'm new to this. Excellent performance!

I literally just got my makey makey in the mail. It automatically "maps" certain keys to your computer. You will understand once you get to Step 5 of the HOW TO: http://www.makeymakey.com/howto.php  as soon as I hit the round "space" key on the makey makey itself (as mentioned in the HOWTO), my computer responded as if I hit the space key on it.

I did nothing other than what it told me to - I just basically plugged it in and it worked!

For the more advanced stuff, you can reprogram the buttons to have up to 18 inputs, I think.
