Show and Tell / Chaos at the Museum! #CaosBA
« Last post by Goon Gumpas on December 01, 2016, 02:24:33 PM »

My name is Fermin Enrique Ramirez, I write on behalf of the project
Sonoteca Bahía Blanca to share an experience in which we successfully
use Makey Makey.

We recently participated in "Chaos at the Museum" (#CaosBA), a
meeting-workshop that sought to reflect "on the civic responsibilities
of museums as public spaces, their potential as generators of an
inclusive community and as contributors to development of a diverse

The meeting, organized by the TyPA Foundation in conjunction with the
University of California Davis, the University of Washington and the
Central Saint Martins School of Arts at the University of London, was
held at the Museum of the City of Buenos Aires and brought together 150
Participants from 15 countries over four intense days.

Apart from the lectures, we were divided into teams in order to approach
different spaces of the Historical Center of Buenos Aires and to propose
museum practices in the streets. Our project comprised part of Team #3,
which was dedicated to the "Apple of Lights", historic block of the
Autonomous City of Buenos Aires in which are located the National
College of Buenos Aires, the Church of San Ignacio, the old building of
the University of Buenos Aires, the Hall of the Former Board of
Representatives, and the former Jesuit Provinces and Residencies among
other buildings.

We concentrated our work on what was the first seat of the Public
Library of Buenos Aires (corner of streets Peru and Moreno). In a few
hours we designed a device / project that basically had a timeline, a
map of emotions, photos, info Historical and a panel in which you could
share your first readings. My participation in the team was through the
installation of a netbook connected to a Makey Makey plate and an apple,
which when played allowed to listen to a podcast with stories of
neighbors of the place that we previously recorded and edited. In this
way, passers-by of all ages could access historical information of the
place in multiple formats (cartographic, photographic, timeline and

Then I send you some links of interest and... thank you so much for
bringing Makey Makey to the world!

Questions / Using a Pulse Sensor and Makey Makey
« Last post by MalaLal on November 23, 2016, 06:28:43 AM »

I was wondering whether you can attach a heart beat monitor to a makey makey - I wanted to create an image that changes based on your heart rate. Or could anyone recommend another way to do this?

Questions / Remap Makey Makey
« Last post by MakeyFra on November 15, 2016, 06:40:04 AM »
Hello to all.
I have a problem with my Makey Makey. I need to remap it, replacing the SPACE key with the CTRL key. The problem is that in the remap function of you can not set the CTRL key. Do you know if there's a way to do that is by touching a button of  Makey Makey, this carries the CTRL button function?
Thanks so much

Hi All,

I'm trying to create interactive physical images using Makey Makey. When a user touches a certain part of a photograph, let's say a river, we want river sounds play out. As soon as the user stops touching the image, we want the sound to stop.

Please help.

Hey Gang,
Yes, very new to this stuff, but looking at creating a Teddy Bear that will react when a child taps the shoulders, and does CPR. If anyone had tried something like this before, please let me know. I have a few ideas after this past weekends MakeyMakey workshop.
